U13 Lions Win County Fair Play Trophy

Each League within Surrey County put forward one nomination for the County Fair Play Trophy. Surrey Youth League nominated the Sheen Lions U12 squad from the 2007/8season's, Brian Robertson's team.

With many teams nominated competition was high, however I'm delighted to announce that yesterday I was informed by the FA that Sheen Lions has won the County's Fair Play award.

This is a huge testament to the team and its management, and also the club.

I couldn't be more thrilled. Congratulations and well done Brian and his boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Introducing Sheen Lions Football Club

Sheen Lions are a youth football club based in the eastern part of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames in Southwest London. We are affiliated to the Surrey County FA and we provide coaching and organised match programmes for nearly 250 boys and girls from the age of 7 to 17 years. Please go to the ABOUT THE CLUB page for more Sheen Lions history and background.
For the 2009-10 season we have 16 football teams representing the Club at all levels in the Surrey Youth League. The demand for organised youth football continues to grow in our local area and Sheen Lions will continue to develop to meet this demand.
As part of our long term plan we became a Registered Charity in May 2008. By taking this step we will have more resources available to offer the best possible youth football experience in our local community.

Codes of Conduct, The FA Respect Campaign and Sportsmanship

With the start of the new season and the establishment of the Club’s new website at
www.sheenlions.com please can I draw your attention to a number of matters concerning conduct and sportsmanship at matches:

1. The Club has a number of Codes of Conduct as well as Regulations. They contain important
guidance on behaviour at matches and the operations of the Club generally. They are
accessible from the website or copies can be obtained from the Club Secretary, Sarah Street.
All those involved in the Club are expected to be familiar with their contents.
